Service of the House of Joy — distributing warm meals and dry rations to the hungry on the 6th and 26th of every month, across communities that need it most.
Anand Arna Seba — meaning "Service of the House of Joy" — is the heartbeat of Pratap Chandra Das Memorial Trust. On the 6th and 26th of every month, our volunteers gather to prepare and distribute cooked meals and dry rations to orphaned children, elderly individuals living alone, daily wage workers facing hardship, and families displaced by poverty or disaster.
We believe that no one should go without a warm meal. Each of these twice-monthly gatherings is also a community celebration — a reminder that someone cares. Beyond nutrition, Anand Arna Seba restores dignity, belonging, and hope to those who often feel invisible.
The program is sustained entirely by volunteer effort and donor generosity. Hundreds of hands come together every fortnight — cooking, packing, distributing, and sitting with those in need — turning compassion into a lived practice.
Join us on the 6th or 26th of any month as a volunteer — help cook, pack, or distribute. Or support us with a donation that goes directly towards food and supplies.
